Well ladies and gents, I am officially another year older and hopefully wiser than last year. I have started to accomplish my goals and feeling quite good about myself for it. I have been attending night school every Monday through Thursday from 3-9pm (and anyone who knows me, knows that this is a feat! I am ready for bed by at least 10 and my school is a good distance from my casa). Sooooo, I am being tested daily on all of the information that I know, the day before yesterday I took 6 tests, happy birthday to me! But hopefully I passed them and then they get checked off the list. For those who are lost in my rambling, let me clarify. I recently transferred to a different cosmetology school in another state. They need me to prove myself and retake every test (there are 32) and show practical work on every service (there are probably close to 75 services) oh yeah, and I need to complete all of this in 175 hours. Some tragic things that have happened in week one: I get drilled on the bones of the head (which I have only a small recollection of ever knowing, thanks a lot ADD), super glue my middle finger and thumb completely and then uttered obscenities (which I am sure my teacher overheard), and THE ICING ON THE CAKE...ARE YOU READY??? I HAVE TO ASK THE TEACHER TO GO TO THE BATHROOM AND THEN TELL HER WHEN I COME BACK (oh, and only one person at a time can be in there)...this is an adult ed class and the bathroom is in the classroom (and I drank a venti coffee before class FML)...Something is wrong with the world. Embarrassing!
When I get myself into a pickle, I really get myself in deep. So anyway, the highlight of my birthday week was getting driven to school and upon getting picked up, what do I find when I open the truck door? A North Face fleece sitting in the passenger seat. I cried. Let me mention that my stress levels have been abnormally high and I am a watering pot lately, but thank you Ty for being so thoughtful.
The snow has started to fall once again and I am kind of over it since it is only snowing little piddly (not sure that is an actual word) amounts. I have some really nice new tires on the truck so I can handle truck loads of snow now!! Bring it on, or let's move on to spring ;)
Happy Friday, Blogging Buddies
