treasure hunts

I'm attempting this post for the second time this week, yesterday I accidentally deleted my posting moments before I was to post. Sunday, I had the best treasure hunting day I've had in a long while. Mom and I took off for lands unknown, somewhere in Ohio, and ended up in the magical city of Washington Courthouse. They had the most amazing thrift store called Ohio's largest thrift store!!! Books were $ .91 - $1.91. I found this book I'd been begging mom to locate in her book collection but that had been giving her the slip. I had already decided I was going to have to bite the bullet and shell out $15, but low and behold...I find it there for $.91!!!! I also find a bacon tray that was much needed, a chicken frying skillet, a cake pan with handles and some very nice additions to my sweater collection. Good treasure day all around! (also found the ultimate b-day present for the twinnie and then forgot to give it to her when she stopped by tonight!!!)
Mom then sprang for dinner, in celebration of giving birth to me 24 years prior and afterwards we started the long trek home. Thanks momma for another great birthday celebration.
An update on my schooling: I have now taken 13 tests and done 4 practical demonstrations. Woohoo, I'm getting closer to the end!

It's snowing tonight, I'm thinking it will be a warm and snuggly day inside tomorrow :) filled with movies and house cleaning!!!

  1. Oooh it sure does sound like an awesome treasure find. I love the places that you dont know if there will be any goodies, but then it winds up tricking you and you find a gold mine! Wish I was there.
